Mudra D Viral, born Alfa Ssebunya, has boldly rejected a lucrative sponsorship deal from a beer company for his upcoming concert. His decision stems from his strong commitment to his Muslim faith. “As a devout Muslim, I had to turn down the beer sponsor,” Mudra explained. “We need sponsors, but my faith comes first.”
The “Balo Balo” hitmaker, set to entertain his fans at Zoe Grounds, Lugogo, tomorrow, made it clear that his decision was personal and not a judgment on those who consume alcohol. “I respect all religions and personal choices,” he said. “But as a Muslim, I had to stay true to my values.”
Interestingly, Mudra D Viral has chosen not to work with external promoters for his concert. Instead, he is collaborating with his management and Labejja’s Angry Management, who previously organized Fefe Bussi’s successful debut concert. “Different parties tried to buy the concert, but the terms didn’t align,” Mudra shared. “So, my team and I decided to handle it ourselves.”
Mudra’s commitment to his faith is well-known, as he refrains from performing during the holy month of Ramadhan. His upcoming concert is eagerly anticipated, with tickets priced at UGX 20K for ordinary, 50K for VIP, and 2 million for a table. Mudra assured fans of an enjoyable experience, regardless of their religious backgrounds.
