Uncle Chumi Opens Up About Losing Pregnancy at Four Months

Content creator turned musician Uncle Chumi recently opened up about her painful pregnancy loss. Speaking with a Sanyuka TV reporter, she revealed that she was unaware of her pregnancy until four months later. A close friend checked and confirmed the news, leaving her in shock.

She narrated how she unknowingly carried the pregnancy without receiving proper antenatal care. By the time she visited the hospital, doctors discovered complications. Unfortunately, the foetus had stopped growing, and she had to undergo surgery.

Chumi explained that she conceived after leaving Katongole’s place but didn’t realize it. When I left Katongole’s place, I left when I was pregnant but I had not noticed it. On checking into the hospital, the doctors found that the foetus was not able to grow anymore because I was not taking medicine as I was supposed. The pregnancy was four months old already. I had to undergo surgery.” she said.

When doctors examined her, they found that the foetus could no longer grow. Lack of prenatal care had affected its development. With no other option, doctors advised immediate surgery. The news devastated Chumi. Losing a child she never knew she carried was painful. She admitted that even now, she struggles with the loss.

Now older, Uncle Chumi reflects on the heartbreaking experience of losing the pregnancy with regret. She often thinks about the child she lost, who would have been grown by now. Despite her past, she has no immediate plans for motherhood. However, she dreams of finding love, specifically with a Mzungu man.
